Karen Ann Saxton 80, of Palm Coast, passed away suddenly on March 18, 2021 at her home. She was born on August 22, 1940 in Murdock, Illinois to the late George Showalter and Maryann McQueen. Karen raised her family on the South Side of Chicago. In 2016 she moved to the Palm Coast area. Karen loved animals and enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy but her greatest love was her family especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William “Bill” Bock in 1991. Survivors include her children, Julie Palermo, Christopher Cooney, Alisa (Paul) Flynn; grandchildren, Crystal Arvia, Michael (Theresa) Palermo, Monica Flynn, Hannah Flynn, Sean Flynn; great-grandchildren, Madeline Arvia, Natalie Arvia, Arthur Palermo, Vincent Palermo and many more loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
