We met Karl & Edith almost 2 decades ago becoming quick friends who began  encouraging our move to Palm Coast.  We are so fortunate to have so many memories of  great times with them that we will be able to cherish especially Karl’s wit, kindness and generosity.

When talking with our grandson, Elliott, about Karl, his memory was of Karl helping him make a toy car in his garage.  Karl had all the tools and was always good with kids.  He had so many toys!! 

Karl enjoyed his watch collection and it was Karl who took me to his jeweler Annie to buy my first and only Rolex.  I will always think of him when I’m wearing my Rolex.  He convinced me that I needed it!😊

We will remember Karl winning the Christmas Boat Parade after a fantastic display of fireworks off his sailboat - so many wonderful times that we will remember with a smile.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Edith, family and friends around the world.  Karl’s energy and love of life will always be with us.❤️🌺🦋

When we met Karl,  more than twelve years ago, there was an instant connection.  Karl was a welcoming,   kind, generous, and fun-loving man.  As we spent more time with Karl and Edith, 
we realized that they were a perfect match.

Karl was a fount of information on whatever subject you presented, and freely shared his knowledge.  

He was always there to help with any project you were doing.

Karl had boundless love, and acceptance for everyone, and especially connected with our Down syndrome grandson, Matt, over a Lava-Bowl at the Sakura Steakhouse.  Matt's was  NA, Karl's wasn't.

We know that all the friends who loved them both will be there for Edith, and know  that the many happy and wonderful memories of Karl, and their life together will help Edith, their family, and friends  endure this sad loss.

Karl's is a life to be remembered with great celebration.     That was the way in which he lived, and was who he was.    Karl was caring, loving and welcoming, with an infectious wit and sense of humor.   We loved traveling with you and Edith, Karl.   Each journey was great fun and you always made it adventurous.    You tackled life with a zeal few will ever experience.    Each day was something fun and exciting.  There are few places we can go now that we don't think of you and those wonderful times.

Thank you for being such a great part of our lives.  We will remember you with love in our hearts and smiles on our faces.

Rest at Peace Karl, it was always a pleasure to see you and talk with you, and yes the boat rides, not too many but I remember them.

Edith and family, I am so sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Karl, for the funny boat rides and the good moments we spent together. You are going to be missed greatly 😢 but never forgotten. We loved to hear you talk about the pranks you played on Edith! And the many traveling and adventures you guys enjoyed.

I remember when we were just starting out in our 20’s and early 30’s. Karl used to relate to me that many of his relatives died at an early age and he expected to do the same. Not to live past 50 or so, he would say. 

We thank the Lord for granting Karl, his loved ones and friends two additional decades on this Earth of  friendship, humor and, perfectly explainable joie de vivre .

Karl filled your lives with happiness and sweet feelings that you will carry in your heart forever.  A loved one’s passing is never easy and knowing Karl and him my heart is heavy and grieve with you.  I am so sorry that Karl has passed away and I will never forget him, his infectious sense of humor, his kind heart that was offered openly.  Karl was an incredible man that gave himself so freely and he will be missed.  Karl was so special that he can never be forgotten, may his soul rest in peace.  

No one can prepare you for a loss like this; it comes like a swift wind.  Please take comfort  knowing that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord.  When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us.  May you take comfort in knowing that you have a very special angel who will continue to watch over you now.  I offer my sincere condolences to you, Karl will not be forgotten.
