Lenoula Lee Brown, 83, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on November 17, 2024, at Lilac at Bayview Health. Born on January 13, 1941, in North Carolina. Lee spent her early years there before moving to St. Augustine, Florida in 1971. It was in St. Augustine where she became deeply involved in her community, dedicating her time to various outreach programs that helped others.
Lee was an incredibly talented seamstress, a skill she developed at a young age when she sewed clothes for her baby dolls. Throughout her life, she used her talent to create beautiful dresses for her family, including many prom and homecoming gowns for her daughters, and later, clothing for her grandchildren. Her love for sewing was a reflection of her nurturing spirit and her desire to care for and support those she loved. She ran a successful upholstery shop in North Carolina as well as in St. Augustine until she changed careers in the 90’s.
Lee was a devoted mother to her three daughters: T.J. (David Hendricksen), Penny (Darren Ingold), and Amanda Pearce. She was the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to receive her love and care. Lee is also survived by her sister, Wilhelmina Meta Upchurch, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and her brother, William Henry Summerlin, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She leaves behind many extended family members that will also cherish her memory.
A life well-lived, Lee will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local outreach program or charity in Lee’s memory.
