Born on January 3, 1933, in Moscow, Russia, to the late Mikhail and Pelageya, Lidia lived a life marked by creativity, devotion, and resilience. She graduated from Moscow State Textile Institute and pursued a successful career as a fashion designer, specializing in women's clothing. For many years, she worked for the renowned company Fashion House, where her talent and craftsmanship were widely recognized.
In 1992, Lidia emigrated to the United States, initially settling in New York. In 1995, she and her family made Palm Coast, Florida, their permanent home. There, she continued to share her many gifts with those around her. Known for her remarkable green thumb, Lidia could grow almost anything, but she was especially admired for her beautiful flowers. Her creativity extended beyond the garden—she continued sewing and designing clothing for her family throughout her life.
Lidia was a deeply spiritual woman and a devoted member of St. Alexis Orthodox Mission in Bunnell, where her faith was a guiding light in her life. Fittingly, her passing coincided with the Great Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos, commemorating the birth of the Virgin Mary—a day of profound significance in the Orthodox Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Irina and Tamara.
Lidia is survived by her devoted daughter, Nina Enns, and son-in-law, Allen LaForge; her cherished grandson, Daniel Ivanovsky, his wife Sofia Liberman, and their daughter Emilia Ivanovskaya, with a baby boy due next month; her long-time partner, Vladimir Gregory; her nephew, Mikhail Ratinov, and great-nephew, Michael Ratinov; along with many more loving relatives, friends, and members of her church family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Alexis Orthodox Mission Church in Bunnell, Florida.
Lidia’s legacy of love, faith, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.
