Margarete Herdoiza

She was born December 25, 1939 in Karlsruhe, Germany to Hermann and

Else (Ege) Auer. Margarete grew up in Germany and immigrated to New

York City in 1961. In 1963, she moved to Michigan and married Robert

Herdoiza in 1964. She lived in Michigan for the next 35+ years where they

raised a family. After retiring, she spent her time between their home in

Bloomfield Hills, MI and their condo in Singer Island, FL. They moved

permanently to Palm Coast, FL in 2003.

Margarete enjoyed knitting, playing the piano and games, reading, sewing,

tennis, and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her

grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert A. Herdoiza; three

children, Michele Herdoiza of Palm Coast, FL; Bob (Kaye) Herdoiza of

Northville, MI; and Stephen (Nicole) Herdoiza of West Bloomfield, MI;

eight grandchildren, Seth, Josh, Megan, Anderson, Grace, Amanda,

Nicholas and Gabriella; one brother, Peter (Ulrike) Auer and her five

nieces, Betina, Sonja, Nikola, Mareike and Julia. Besides her parents, she

was preceded in death by her sister, Gerda Almoslechner-Baumann.
