Born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut, Marjorie graduated with the Danbury High School Class of 1982. On April 20, 1987, Marjorie married her beloved husband, Richard Martin, in her hometown of Danbury. Together, they raised their family there until relocating to Palm Coast, Florida, in 2004.
Marjorie lived with grace and fierce determination. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, who meant everything to her. A true animal lover at heart, she shared a deep and tender bond with her cherished cat, Tigger, who brought her comfort, joy, and unwavering companionship throughout the years. Marjorie also found joy in the kitchen, whether cooking for loved ones or watching her favorite culinary shows. And when it came to a good card game, she never turned down a seat at the table.
Marjorie, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Marjorie is predeceased by her parents, Stewart and Ann Delamater (Meken), and her niece Alyssa Seminara. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Martin Sr.; her son, Allen Martin (Eirene); her stepchildren, Richard Martin Jr. and LeeAnn King; her sisters, Cindy Gutierrez and Sara Fabrizio (Charles); her brother, George Delamater; and her granddaughters, Vanessa and Abigail Martin. She is also survived by her nieces, Melissa Coons, Amanda McCoy (Paul), and Rachel Seminara; nephews, Robert Coons, Brandon Seminara, and Kyle Seminara; several grand-nieces and nephews, and her two special boys, Gavin and Jayden.
