Flagler Beach, FL Marlene (Milot) Bushnoe, 92, was born in Lowell, MA and passed peacefully after a short illness on October 30, 2025. She was raised with her four siblings in her childhood home on Pine Street in Forge Village, MA. She attended Westford Academy and graduated in 1950. After marrying Richard J. Bushnoe, Jr. in 1954 she moved to Ayer where, for 40 years, she raised her family on Sandy Pond Road and Oak Ridge Drive. Her life was enriched by the many children she nurtured by way of her children’s activities and friends often referred to as “Mrs. B”. She coached the Ayer Bronco cheerleaders while her sons played football. She was a devout Catholic and CCD teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic Church while in Ayer. Marlene became an RN after her children were grown and served patients at the Tewksbrury State Hospital for 18 years. The movie “80 for Brady” was loosely based off her devotion to Tom Brady and the NE Patriots. She rooted for all the Boston teams and spent many Sundays cheering them on. Marlene loved to travel with her life partner, of 18 years; Robert Ogden. He and his family brought many years of joy to her as she blended two families.
After the death of her youngest son, Mark S. Bushnoe (2000), Marlene retired from nursing and moved to Florida to be with her daughter where she has been a Flagler Beach resident since 2004. Her granddaughter moved to FL in 2009 bringing the “man she had prayed for but not expected”, her 9-month-old great grandson Landon; who she helped raise until Marilyn married in 2014; a bond that will never be matched. Marlene is as member of Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church. She was active in the Adoration Ministry and the Women’s Ministry. Volunteering in her community was her way of giving back. She spent many years serving with the Flagler Women’s Club. Marlene used her nursing skills by volunteering at the Stewart Meyer Hospice House. She was also a docent at Flagler Beach Historical Museum. She lived a long, healthy and vibrant life. Her faith and her love for Jesus was her guiding values in every aspect of her life.
Marlene is now in her heavenly home as she is predeceased by her parents and siblings, her life partner Robert Ogden from Middleton, MA. Her son Richard E. Bushnoe of Flagler Beach, FL and Mark S. Bushnoe of Lunenburg, MA. She leaves behind daughter and son-in-law Debra (Bushnoe) Powers and Matt Powers of Chicopee, MA. Daughter and son-in-law Kim (Bushnoe) Carney and James Carney of Flagler Beach, FL. Grandchildren Marilyn C. (Bushnoe) Caneva and her family from Ormond Beach, FL; David Caneva, Landon Bushnoe, Brady and Emmett Caneva. Grandson Mark Bushnoe from Shrewsberry, MA. Granddaughters Mary and Anna Marques from Chicopee, MA; Granddaughter Meghan Kimbrough and her family from The Hills, TX and Grandson Ryan Carney and his family living in Sanford, FL. With such a long and blessed life she will be remembered as “Auntie” by her niece and nephews, and their families. The love she shared with her entire family as the matriarch will live on in each of them.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
