Mary Anne Nelson of Denver, Co. passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was 79 years old. Mary Anne was born on March 29, 1938 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Co. and grew up in Fort Morgan, Co. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Gene Nelson, was a wonderful mother to Tamera Ferguson and Kimberly Traylor, and a loving Grandmother to Dalton and Devin Traylor, and Allegra Ferguson. Mary Anne was so blessed and loved by amazing siblings Jaqueline Hendershot, Judith Smith Dorn, and John Russell Smith. She worked and retired as an International Flight Attendant for TWA where she traveled the world and experienced adventures that most people only dream of. Mary Anne considered herself a professional volunteer, was also involved in many organizations, loved playing golf, bridge, and Mah Jong, enjoyed decorating, cooking, reading, and really enjoyed hunting for decorative sea shells. She was also a member of the International Social Organization, Red Hat Society. A unique soul, Mary Anne was very funny, silly, and enjoyed playing practical jokes. Mary Anne, you will be greatly and sadly missed by all that knew you.
