Mary graduated from Lesley College and devoted 35 years to teaching primary grades in New England, New York, and New Jersey. She was deeply respected for her kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication to her colleagues and students. Teaching was not just her profession but her calling, and she touched countless lives throughout her long career.
After retiring from education, Mary continued to enjoy staying active by working part-time at JCPenney until her move to Palm Coast in December 2014.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert Carcich; her children, Robert Carcich (Becky) and Barbara Breneisen; and her four cherished grandchildren, Tyler Ward (Hannah), Justin Breneisen, Stephanie Anderson (Quinn), and Tiger Lily Carcich. She was joyfully anticipating becoming a great-grandmother in March, a milestone she spoke of with great excitement and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Cronin, and her sister, Margaret Baker.
Mary loved playing Mah Jongg, reading mystery novels, watching game shows, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful conversationalist, she could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere she went, and leave them smiling.
Her warmth, curiosity, and genuine love for people will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
