

Michael N. Del Grosso, 86, of Palm Coast passed on January 5, 2018 at his home with his loving wife at his side. He was born on April 24, 1931 in Washington, D.C. to the late Michele and Carmela Del Grosso (Coppobianco). He graduated from McKinley Tech High School in 1951. Michael owned and operated Del Grosso Iron Works in Washington, D.C. until 1980. He also was self-employed with Mac Tool Co, maintenance Engineer at various hotels in Washington, D.C. and West Palm Beach, FL. Michael was an active member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church where he sang in the Chancel Choir and was a past president of United Methodist Men. He was also a 20 year member of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Lake Worth, FL. In 1999 he and his wife participated in the International Church Music Festival in Bern, Switzerland. Michael was an avid Redskins fan and a great cook. He loved boating, music, dancing and travel. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Nicholas Del Grosso (WWII), Peter Del Grosso; step-son, David M. Offutt. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Laura Lee Del Grosso; children, Elizabeth (Garry) Hoyle, Carolyn Del Grosso, Michael A. (Susan) Del Grosso, David Del Grosso, James Del Grosso, Angela (David) Martin, Joanna (Michael) Badostain; step-children, Elizabeth (Michael) Cassidy, Warren L. Offutt, Jr., Donald M. (Denise) Offutt, Suzanne Offutt Schriber; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandsons. Donations in his memory may be made to Palm Coast United Methodist Church Chancel Choir or the charity of your choice. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, 10:00 AM at Palm Coast United Methodist Church. Final resting place will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland on a future date. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Cemetery.
