

Patrick “Pat” Ennis Delaney, 88, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on February 20, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1936, in New York to the late Patrick Joseph Delaney and Cecilia (McBride) Delaney. Pat was preceded in death by his late wife, Patricia Chaffee Delaney and his sister, Marjory Ann Romano.
Pat honorably served in the United States Army and later worked as an Electronics Purchasing Agent for ITT, contributing to the development of what is now known as the city of Palm Coast, Florida. He was proud of his work and the role he played in the community’s growth.
Pat moved to Ormond Beach, FL from Texas in 1997, first moving to Halifax Plantation, then to Plantation Bay, becoming one of the first members of Prestwick Golf Club. He met Janet in 2000. After three years their friendship led to their marriage on December 29,2002. They participated in many golf activities, summer twilight golf followed by dinners in the clubhouse. Pat also enjoyed playing Bridge at Halifax Plantation and in our home with friends, going to the theatre, and watching golf and movies on TV together.
After three years, friendship led to their marriage on December 29, 2002. They enjoyed traveling to Europe visiting relatives in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Scotland and Ireland. They enjoyed their cruise in Hawaii and in the Caribbean with close friends. In 2020 they took a driving trip from FL, to New Orleans, following the Mississippi River north all the way to Mackinac Island, Michigan.
After a fall in our home, Pat was taken to Advent Hospital and then to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast where he peacefully passed away with family at his bedside.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Janet M. Delaney; his nieces and nephews, Carmine Romano (Teresa), Theresa Silberzahn (George), Edward Romano (Stacey), Maureen Parker (Frankie), Michael Romano (Shuree), and Jennifer Romano (Lee Whitlow); Janet’s daughters, Terri Stile, Kim Dembek (Tim), and Karen Stile; plus, numerous extended family members. He was a beloved husband, uncle, stepfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pat often said, “I’ve lived a great life”. A celebration of Pat’s life will be announced at a later date.
