Robert "Robbie" Creal

Robert “Robbie” Creal, 75, of Flagler Beach, Florida, passed away at his home, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and deep community roots. Born on March 1 in Daytona Beach, Florida, he was the son of Charles E. Creal and Ann E. Creal (Taylor) and remained a proud lifelong resident of Flagler County.

Robbie devoted more than 50 years of his life to the fire service, answering a calling that began in his youth. Inspired by his father, Charles, who served as a volunteer with the Bunnell Fire Department, Robbie often accompanied him on calls—experiences that shaped his lifelong commitment to protecting others. Over the decades, he became a respected and steadfast member of the Flagler Beach Fire Department, known for his professionalism, knowledge, and unwavering sense of duty.

He attended Daytona Beach Community College and graduated from the Bureau of State Fire College in January 1975. Throughout his career, he earned numerous specialized firefighting certifications, continually striving to better serve his department and community.

Beyond his work in public safety, Robbie was deeply engaged in preserving the history of the area he loved. He served as a volunteer, member, and past president of the Flagler Beach Historical Museum and was a board member of the Flagler County Historical Society. Among his contributions was his involvement in the project “Both Sides of the Bridge,” reflecting his passion for local heritage.

Robbie’s interests included history, ham radio, and collecting memorabilia. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved dogs, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

In keeping with his wishes, no public funeral or viewing will be held. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date for family and friends to gather, share memories, and honor a man whose life was defined by service, dedication, and love for his community.
