William Ronald Simpson, known affectionately as "Bill," passed away suddenly on September 24, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on October 26, 1942, in South Bend, Indiana, Bill was the beloved son of the late Phillip and Betty Simpson. He was a kind-hearted and gentle man who touched the lives of many.
Bill graduated from John Adams High School and then served his country in the US Navy for four years, stationed in Hawaii and Guam. After his military service, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he began working with a pharmaceutical company for a short time. It was there that he met the love of his life, Brenda Gallahar. They married and raised two daughters in the West Palm Beach area. He spent the majority of his career working at city water treatment plants. Upon his retirement, Bill and Brenda moved to Palm Coast, Florida, in 1996. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Brenda in 1997 and his brother, Larry Simpson, in 2023.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Brewer and Tracie, along with her husband Curtis Howell. He leaves behind grandchildren Austin, Sadie, Garrett Howell, Colton, and Brenlee Brewer, as well as a great-granddaughter, Heavenlee Grace and his beloved dog Dixie.
Bill enjoyed boating, water skiing, fishing, and NASCAR. He was also an avid supporter of his daughter Tracie's alma mater, the Florida State Seminoles Football Team.
In memory of Bill, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the ASPCA.
