

He was employed at Migl Service Station and Richter Water Well Service. He also served as a past city council member and past Mayor pro-tem. He then became self employed as a painter and carpenter which took him to Nashville for several years. He then returned to Flatonia continuing his painting and carpentry work. David was an avid sports fan of baseball, football, and most of all Bowling. His main past time was sitting at the tank fishing all day long.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary Ann Zouzalik.
He is survived by wife, Martha Zouzalik of Flatonia; son, Ronald Zouzalik and wife Melissa Myers of Austin; step-daughter, Holly Cowgill and husband Jerry of Schulenburg; two brothers, Bobby Zouzalik of Nashville, Tennessee, and Gary Zouzalik of Praha; one sister, Carol Vrana of Flatonia, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his “other” kids, seven Pomerians of which two were born two weeks ago. They were always around begging for attention.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Friday, February 10, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Clopton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery in Flatonia.
