I didn't know you for very long,or even very well,but what I do know is how much you loved my dear,good friend,( Rosie) your wife,and how much she loves you and misses you.may you rest in eternal rest,knowing that she has a lot of family and friends that are here for her,me being just one. You will be missed by many,but never forgotten.

Uncle Steven,
 Regardless of what I ever did you were always there cheering me on. You taught me to value and love myself and succeed. You showed me the importance of being proud of myself and the things I had verses bragging about my friends and their possessions. You helped me believe that I could reach any goal. The times I wasn't by y'all's side you were there to help Kaylie, and that's something I can never repay. You made everyone feel welcomed. The hospitality and the love you possessed made you such an essential part to any family gathering. You showed me how to care for everyone and help them out no matter the person. I could go on and on about how amazing you were. You touched so many people's lives, and without knowing you always motivated me to be a better person. Although none of us will understand why the Lord called you up I will always cherish the amazing moments we shared and be thankful I had the privilege of calling you my uncle. It's simple I always wanted to be just like you! I love and miss you.

You weren't just my baby brother you were my best friend. You had the patience with my grand babies, my kids, and myself. You never left my grand babies out on anything you always wanted them in everything we did whether it was to go hunting for dove or fishing. I still wait on Sundays for you to stop by after breakfast at Patsy's or your Monday visits. When I BBQ I think of you all the time. You and Rosie would always stop by when we would have a BBQ and if we weren't at my house we were together somewhere. Your smiles lights our heart because I know you shine every moment in our hearts. Gone but Never Forgotten.. I will miss my baby brother - my best friend everyday. I love you Steven!! We will go to our pier and will fish for you, and drink a beer but not just any beer your LONESTAR LIGHT! Everytime I hear that song "Drink A Beer" I know it's you letting me know you are right here with me. Until we meet again brother!! May God know he has turned my best friend into my guardian angel. Love you brother!

Thank you Father for giving me  this time with what started as a friendship and turned into a brother in law. Had good times out in pasture dove hunting we never took it serious just talked and missed plenty of doves, but that didn't matter to us. Our trips for fishing were always a memory weather it was at the coast, lake, river or even your place. It never mattered to us on how many we would catch just the time spent and enjoyed the fellowship. I thank God that I know we will do it all over again someday. I will always remember you cause you were my only true friend.

 Thank you for the 23 years we had together for all that you did and wanted for me. You loved me unconditionally always trying to please me in whatever you could do from my hobby of yard selling to setting up at the antique shows and the store which you found the name for me, and from taking me to my family functions to city parties. 
 Life will never be the same; for I wait everyday for your text me at break and even after work to see if I was home or at the store. We had planned so much this year but God needed you up there. 
 I know that Boots is with you and that your in a better place but oh how I wish I could have you here. I don't why this had to happen to you but maybe someday it will be clear. 
 Until than Me, Freckles and the gang will be home and feel your presence near. I could go on, on and on of how wonderful our memories were together, but you and I both know it will remain in our hearts for eternity. Until we meet again!!

Little brother, as I sit here looking out my window and missing you I am reminded of all the great times we had together. Going hunting whether it was deer or doves. It reminds me of all the laughs we had, the challenges you put on us. You always limited out, caught the biggest fish, killed the biggest buck, you always seemed to be the winner; always first. In horse shoes we always would beat your other brother; you always kept an eye on him crossing the line, reminding him to get back behind the line. Now you are gone to a better place. Gone from here but not from our hearts. You will be missed but not forgotten. You will always be in our hearts. Will miss your laugh, your smile and most of all your competitiveness. Now you pray for us as we continue on our journey here on earth. Give Mom, Roy and Mary Ann a big hug for me. Knowing that you are smiling right now comforts me a little. See you are first again sitting at the table with Mom, Roy and Mary Ann, smiling grinning and having breakfast. You will always be with me in my heart and on my mind.

Uncle Steven, 
Words will never be able to describe how thankful I was to have a uncle like you. I think about you every day when I'm in the deer stand and I promise to take care of dad and the family like you always did. I miss you more than words can say. You taught me alot about life and ill never forget the times we had hunting or fishing or the competions we had with dad. I look forward to the day we meet up again. Rest in peace little buddy.

My memories will never fade that I had with you.. My heart is broken of losing you.. To have someone who inspired not just my life but my kids and my husbands leaves me with just tears to roll down my face not wanting to come to reality that you are gone.. It's hard to understand why God chose you.. You were a hardworking man who always thought about others. You never showed judgement just acceptance. No one will ever replace what you have in my heart. You were a great uncle to all of us. I will miss your smiling face, our trips to the coast, you picking on me and always showing the Love you had for my kids and family. As the time draws nearer to say our final goodbyes I have been walking the same trails you have walked and been hunting your spot . Its very beautiful there in the morning and even more so when the sun sets. It will never be the same out there without you but I will carry on and continue the chase and pass on the love and passion for the outdoors that you instilled in me all those years ago when I came into your life. I shall walk down that trail one more time today before WE bid you farewell and I promise you I will continue to share the love and passion for the outdoors with others as you have with all of us. I Love you Uncle Steven and will carry your memory with me where ever I go and think of you like I always have. It was a real treat and a great honor to track down your beautiful heavy horned 8 point with a 16 inch spread. Dear Lord Thank you for letting my uncle spend his final hour doing what he loved and thank you for putting there to share it with him. Headed to the stand Uncle Steven. Wish me luck. Love Always your little buddy .

Cuz I will never forget you or the kindest you taught me and the world and nothing can ever the take those memories we had together. I love you and will miss you so much but we will ride those back roads again!

We offer our sincere sympathy to the Velasquez family at this sad time. We loved him even though we only saw Steven twice a year at Warrenton antique show. He was so much fun and always wiling to help out. We will miss him, our prayers are with Rosie and family.

It's a sad day for me, I considered Steven a really good friend. This is one of those moments that is always hard to deal with. This is an important time to give everyone a little insight on Steven, even though Steven didn't have a lot of experience building products to FDA requirements, he was a hard worker and picked up all the quirks of building product for the FDA and Medical industry.  Steven picked up all the necessary Regulatory/Quality requirements easily and he was not afraid to ask questions.  I always got a kick out Steven telling me that I taught him more information about his job than anyone ever taught him about a job. I was always reminding him he was going to be my replacement so I had to teach him everything I knew about Medical devices. We always had a good time working together and he was a pleasure to be around. He learned his job well, worked hard, always willing to help me when anyone needed his help and was a valuable asset to his job.  We lost a good man and I will sorely miss him, and my deepest sympathy for his family.
