Sydney M. Spencer

Sydney was born in Flatonia, on Anchor Ranch, where he spent his happiest days ranching, hunting, fishing, and caring for the land. He is survived by his sons, Rodney Spencer of Houston, Randy Spencer of Flatonia, and Stanley Spencer of Smithville, his daughter Jamie Ratliff and husband Randall of New Braunfels, brother Ross Spencer of Houston, sisters Ann Dunning of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sue Shade of Muldoon, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sydney is preceded in death by his parents Ross and Nelda Spencer and his wife Patricia.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 12:00pm with Funeral Services following at 2:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jeff Muehl. Burial will follow at Cistern Public Cemetery in Cistern.
