CUMMINGS, BERNADETTE MARY age 88, of Flushing, MI, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, MI. Fr. Thomas Firestone officiating. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 P.M. and 10:00 to 11:00 Saturday at the Church. Bernie was born in Flint, the only child of Michael J. and Elizabeth H. Drew. She attended St. Matthew High School in Flint. Bernie was married to Donald O. Cummings, her love of a lifetime, for 68 years. She was Co-Founder of Cummings Property Management, Inc. Bernie’s family was her prime passion in life. She loved family gatherings, traveling and the Florida Keys. She was a fierce card player and an avid reader and knitter. Surviving are their children Donna (James) Williams, Kay (Rick) Bushey, Barbara (Mark) Amsler, Michael (Wanda) Cummings, Matthew (Caron Seward) Cummings, Robert (Jan) Cummings, Mary (Chuck) Eckert, Joni Medemar-Cummings; grand-children Elizabeth Williams and Armando Luna, Brent and Kirsten Bushey, Joseph and Sarah Bushey, Brian and Erika Bushey, Ryan and Jennifer Amsler, Brynn and Trevor Hawks, Ben and Maggie Cummings, Sam Cummings, Max Cummings, Kevin Cummings, Scott Cummings, Theresa Cummings, Emily Cummings , Aaron Cummings, Daniel Cummings, Patrick Cummings, Phillip Eckert, and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sons Drew and Philip Cummings and grandson Zack Medemar. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the education scholarship program at St. John Vianney Parish in Flint.
