

BERLANGA Sr., Domingo, age 84, of Flint, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday May 18, 2015 at 11AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church - 2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint, with one hour of visitation prior. Deacon Omar Odette celebrant. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday May 17, 2015 from 2PM-4PM and again from 6PM-8PM with a Rosary Service at 7PM at Reigle Funeral Home -5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flint. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Domingo was born February 1, 1931 in Bryan, Texas to the late Onofre and Aurelia (Vargus) Berlanga. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Domingo married Natalie Compos on May 17, 1955. He retired from General Motors after 38 years of employment. Domingo was one of the founding members or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was also one of the founding members of the American GI Form – Flint Chapter. Domingo was a longtime member of the VFW and American Legion. He was the founder of the American GI Form – Hispanic Technology Center. One of his favorite things to do was to work in his yard and garden with his grub hoe. He was a hard worker and if there wasn’t anything to do he found work to do, always keeping busy. Most of all, family meant the world to him. Whether it was a family get-together or just spending time with his brothers and sisters and his cherished grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, David (Julie) Berlanga, Domingo Jr. (Susan) Berlanga, and Frank Molina; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; very special companion, Ethel Czernik; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Natalie; son, Johnny Molina; daughters Hope Esperanza and Marina Molina; and granddaughter, Venus Augustina Berlanga.
