Bush, Dorothy M. – of Flint, age 88, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Heartland Health Care – Fostrian. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, with Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Burial follows at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Dorothy was born May 3, 1923 in Duncklin, MO the daughter of Nick and Marada Lappas. Her parents passed away and she became a resident of the Whaley Home in Flint. She married James E. Bush on August 8, 1952. Dorothy worked as a Realtor for over 40 years, and retired from Oakwood Realty. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Flint. She enjoyed gardening, making wreaths and interior design. Dorothy loved hosting dinner with “the girls”. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Whaley Home or Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Flint. Surviving are: sons, Lane and John (Bonnie) Bush; grandchildren; Jessica Weaver, James and Michael Bush; “Little sister” of 54 years, Glenda Driskill; neighbors, Celeste Milne and family; special friends, Michelle Keely and Jeri Joyner.
