James Rolland Jones

James Rolland Jones – Age 88, of Higgins Lake and Oldsmar, Florida, formerly of Flushing, Michigan. Passed into Heaven on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Florida. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Reigle Funeral Home 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. James was born April 26, 1926 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Cleo and Fred Jones. He was born into the 3rd set of twins of a family of 11 children. The family later settled in the Flint area. He served as a Medic in the United States Navy during W.W.II. After the war he married Virginia Lee Giacolone, they were lifetime members of St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Together they had 5 children, Judy Ann Jones, James F. Jones and wife Therese, and their sons Tom and James, John C. Jones and children, Corey, Jason, Brian and Jennifer, Jeffery L. Jones and wife Allyson and children, Tabitha, Jeff, and step sons Grant and Ryan Wheat, Rosemary and husband Kim Marc Ward and sons, Michael and Jamie Floria. Also surviving is sister, Lillian Putman. James worked for General Motors for 43 years. After retirement he married Fame Groves of Swartz Creek, Mich. James had 4 step children, Michael and wife Yovonne Groves, Terry Groves, John and wife Sandy Groves, Janice and husband Allen Haywood. James was preceded in death by wife, Virginia Lee, daughter Judy Ann, son, John, parents Cleo and Fred; siblings, John, Mark, Marl, Carl, Russ, Vivian, Audry (Lucielle), Hilda Jo and Zelda Jean.
