Jean Marie Bentoski (61) passed away on December 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Visitation will take place on Thursday December 14th from 3:00-7:00 pm at Reigle Funeral Home –5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan. A memorial service will be held on Friday December 15th at 3:00 pm at Reigle Funeral Home with a celebration of Jean’s life directly following the service. Jean Bentoski was born in Flint, Michigan on January 11, 1956 to the late Stanley and Catalina Bentoski. After exploring other parts of the country, including the “Big Apple” she returned to Flint, and enjoyed living close to family. Jean attended Baker College, where she graduated with honors, and went on to earn her Tinsmith Journeyman Certificate. After working in the skilled trades, she retired from General Motors, and still enjoyed the camaraderie of her special friends from GM Flint Truck and Bus. Jean was a creative talent, and you could often expect a beautiful hand crafted gift from her on special occasions. In recent years, she enjoyed woodworking at the Mt. Morris Krapohl Center. With a generous heart, she supported many charities, and was a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross. To cherish her memory she leaves behind her beloved daughter Jessica Bentoski (Liz), brother James Bentoski (Marta), nephew Chad Bentoski, along with many precious extended family members, friends, and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Anthony Bentoski. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity or random act of kindness in Jean's honor this holiday season. Arrangements under the direction of Reigle Funeral Home.
