Leona M. Suszek

Leona was born August 24, 1924 in Mishawaka, Indiana. She had been employed by Hudson’s at the Genesee Valley Mall, working in the cash office. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and going to the casino and playing slots, but the most important thing to her was her family.

Surviving are: children, Janice (Doug) Stewart of Grand Blanc, Kay (Gary) Durham of Clio, Debbie (Doug) Casabon of Clio, and Paul (Deborah) Suszek of Genesee; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Janette Mickels; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Suszek was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; and by 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., with Visitation starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing with Fr. Gary McInnis officiating. Burial follows at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
