February 23, 1935 – March 31, 2026
Marian Deloris Martin, born February 23, 1935, transitioned on March 31, 2026, at the age of 91.
Marian lived a life grounded in faith, strength, and family. She carried herself with grace, quiet confidence, and a presence that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She was a loving and spiritual woman who devoted herself to her church, her family, and her community. She was a lifelong Sunday school teacher at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan, where she faithfully served for over 50 years, guiding and shaping generations through her teaching and unwavering faith. The Martin legacy helped build Christ Fellowship Baptist Church, and she continued that legacy through her lifelong service and commitment. She was also a proud member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, serving alongside her husband’s legacy of service, and was active in the Victorious Christian Women organization, continuing her commitment to faith, fellowship, and community.
She had a quick wit, a sharp sense of humor, and a style all her own. She loved fashion and shopping, always presenting herself with intention and pride. In the kitchen, she was a marvelous cook, bringing people together through meals that felt like home.
Marian was the beloved wife of Albert Martin, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage until his passing in 2019. Together, they built a strong foundation rooted in love, faith, and family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Erikk Raphael Martin and Carmen (Cedric) Clark; her grandchildren, Brian (Brianna) Neeley and Cinnamon Clark; along with a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
She is also survived by her sisters, Gwendolyn McIntosh, Julia Woods, and Clarice Carter; and her sister in law, Rosetta McIntosh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Martin; her brother, Jerome McIntosh; her sisters, Lucille McIntosh, Beatrice Cain, Loretta “Kitty” Robinson, and Maserene Ferrell; her brother, Lucious McIntosh Jr.; her sister, Audrey O. Wilcoxson; her brothers in law, Odaree Cain and Belton Robinson; her nieces, Clarice Carter and Audrey J. Wilcoxson; and her brother in law, Pete Ferrell.
Marian’s life reflects love, faith, and unwavering dedication to others. She showed up for people, cared for her community, and poured into her family in a way that will never be forgotten.
Her legacy lives on through her family, her faith, and the love she gave so freely.
A memorial visitation for Marian will be held at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm.
