Marie Edna LeBrasseur

LeBRASSEUR, Marie (Murray) – Age 86, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Mrs. LeBrasseur was born January 15, 1925 in Masonville, MI the daughter of Frank and Pauline Murray. On June 26, 1948 Marie married George LeBrasseur at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Rapid River, MI where she sang in the Church Choir from the age of 12. George and Marie came to Flint in 1952. Marie was a talented seamstress and was employed be the Venus Garment Company in Escanaba, MI, UpJohn Pharmaceutical Company in Portage, MI and Jolly Kids garment factory in Kalamazoo, MI. Surviving are her children, Robert and wife Ronda LeBrasseur of Burton, Mary and husband Jeff Mintline of Flint, Thomas and wife Julie LeBrasseur of Clio; grandchildren, Jason, Christopher LeBrasseur, Nicole and husband Darrell Cameron, Stephen, Joseph and William Mintline, Erika, Kaitlyn and Megan LeBrasseur; great granddaughters, Hailey, and Sophia Cameron; sisters, Susan Eagle of Brampton, MI, Patricia Dwyer of Escanaba, MI, James and wife Eleanor Murray of Alaska; many beloved nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her husband George, sisters, Anna May LeClaire, Lucille Sheedlo; brothers, Francis and Robert Murray. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff at Avalon Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Friends may visit the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reigle Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, MI. Father Tom Firestone will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
