Norbert Mercier

Dear husband of the late Ida Mae; beloved father of Brenda (Cliff) Birchmeier, Diana (Chris) Meehl, Alanna (Mike) Mercier, Annette Wilson; proud grandfather of nine, great-grandfather of four, and great-great-grandfather of two; brother of two sisters. Norbert is also survived by many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae; daughter, Karen; son Terry; four brothers; and parents, Rufus and Lilian.

Norbert was born on May 17, 1927 in Flint, Michigan to Rufus and Lilian Mercier. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and woodworking. He was often found in the garden, tending to his roses and flowers or Up North on the lake. While he loved making others laugh, his priority had always been his girls and entire family.

The family will greet friends for a memorial visitation from 10:00am until time of memorial service at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. A private inurnment at Flint Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
