PEREZ, RICARDO P. age 94, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at his home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, G-2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint, MI. Fr. Tim Nelson and concelebrant Fr. Eduardo Lorenzo officiating. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 P.M. Monday. Ricardo was born March 22, 1916 in Seguin, TX. to parents Pedro and Irene Perez. He married Adelia Molina, December 2, 1939 in Port Huron, MI. He retired from Chevrolet Truck Assembly in 1977. He accompanied the Parish Choir, playing the guitar and maracas. He served on the planning committee for the new building of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Ricardo served as Special Minister of the Eucharist at Mass and visiting hospitals and home bound. He was a member of the Cursillo, Holy Name Society, Missionary Guadalupano, Caballero de San Juan and the Emanuel Charismatic Prayer Group. Surviving are daughters Virginia (Florentino) Flores, Alice (Pedro Jr.) Gonzalez, Lidia (Jose) Caballero, Esther Stewart (Shawn Langford); special grandson Jason Stewart; brothers Ernesto and Antonio Perez; sister Emelia Campos; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Adelia; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
