EATON, Robert Roland, age 90, of Flushing, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at The Pines of Swartz Creek. Robert was born on October 26, 1921 in Flint, son of the late George and Julia (Hempstead) Eaton. A veteran of World War II, Robert served in the U.S. Army. He had owned and operated Eaton’s Marathon in Flint for many years, as well as an Apple Orchard in Fenton. He also retired from G.M.-Fisher Body in Grand Blanc. Surviving are children Linda (Michael) Meschen of Clarkston, Larry (Karen) Eaton of Flushing, Virginia (Steve) Hansen of Midland, and Donna (Steve) Serban of Clio. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Louise Eaton, a daughter Vicki Sue Eaton, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral Service will be held 2 pm Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing. Rev. James Offrink will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Flint Memorial Park , Mt. Morris.
