Velma was born in Flint, Michigan on May 5, 1928 to the late Samuel and Mary (Haluska) Toth. She was a wonderful lady who enjoyed many hobbies, such as gardening and knitting. In addition, Velma was an avid reader. Velma also enjoyed her dog Bella, walks along Lake Michigan and browsing through any type of store. She was an excellent homemaker and cook, and she passed down her cooking skills to her four children. Family gatherings were very important to Velma, and she cherished that time and loved to create joyous memories with them. Velma was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family, and all who had the privilege to know her.
Velma leaves behind to cherish her memory her dear children Karen (John) Kaloydis, Jane (Larry) Frisch, William (Nancy) Drury and Laura Drury; grandchildren Ryan Frisch, Lindsay Olsen, Joe Drury, Katie Head and Danielle Drury; and seven great grandchildren.
