Virginia Pero

PERO, Virginia Mary – Age 79, of Flushing, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at Avalon Hospice surrounded by her family. Virginia was born July 6, 1931 in Butman Twp., Gladwin, MI to Wilbert and Viola (Edwards) Allen. Virginia retired from Westwood Heights Schools after 20 years of service and she volunteered her time to Mt. Morris Twp. Fire Dept. serving as President of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed traveling and helping anyone who needed her assistance. The joys of her life were her grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Bradley, Mylona, Angela and Chrissa, Kyler, Raven, Jor-el, and her 12 beautiful great grandchildren. She is also survived by her children, Gail (Daniel) Casciano of Flushing, Aleta (Kenneth) Beals of Flint, and Myra (Fred) Shallenberger of Maryville, TN. Mrs. Pero was preceded in death by her husband Gordon L. Pero. Friends visited the family from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Reigle Funeral Home. The Funeral Service was held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Bill Jentzen officiated. Burial followed at Flint Memorial Park.
