She was a graduate of the High School of Industrial Art in 1955 and went on to work as a laboratory technician in Queens General Hospital before becoming a certified payroll professional at ADP. She worked full-time for 35 years supporting the family, all while raising her three beloved sons, Victor, Michael and David on Union Street in Flushing, Queens where she resided for 50 years.
Ann was a lover of the arts and supported and attended dance performances at the Joyce Theater for over 25 years. She enjoyed traveling to new and exciting places such as Ecuador, Europe, China, Israel, the Caribbean and Mexico. She maintained a sound body and mind by participating in yoga, pilates, silver sneakers, water aerobics and playing bridge on Friday evenings with friends. A faithful Christian, Ann was heavily involved in her church community, eager to give of her time and serve the Lord. She attended church service every Sunday, practiced English with foreign language learners, participated in bible study groups and lent her voice to the choir at Christmas time. Above all, Ann enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and loved ones.
Ann is survived by her older brother Harris Schlesinger and three beloved sons: Victor, Michael and David; five granddaughters: Melissa, Giuliana, Daniela, Marisa and Zoe; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ann was a dear friend, mother and grandmother who was loved by many and will be missed by those who knew her well.
