In Loving Memory of Conrado R. Exconde Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.
Known lovingly as Carding by family and Conrad or “Mr. Ex” to friends.
With heavy hearts, but with immense gratitude for the gift of his life, we share the passing of Conrado R. Exconde, a man whose gentle presence, warm spirit, and deep love shaped the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him.
To his family, he was simply Carding, steady, loving, and full of quiet wisdom. To friends and colleagues, he was Conrad, always kind-hearted, genuine, and endlessly thoughtful. To all, he was a source of grace, and goodness.
Born in the Philippines, Conrado built a life rooted in humility and compassion. He dedicated over 30 years of his life to the United Nations, where he served with quiet diligence and a commitment to helping build a more peaceful world.
Conrado and his beloved wife, Carmencita, created a beautiful life together in Bayside, New York, filling their home with love, laughter, and the rich traditions of family. Their marriage was a partnership grounded in faith, and deep devotion. When Carmencita passed, Conrado carried her love with him every day. Her memory never left his heart.
Together, they raised three children, Charisma, Camille, and Colvin, who were the pride and joy of his life. As a father, he was everything a child could hope for: patient, protective, generous, and loving. He was never one to raise his voice, but his presence always spoke volumes. His quiet strength, gentle advice, and unwavering support carried his children through every chapter of their lives.
Later, he would become “Lolo” to Cristian and Kayla, his adored grandchildren, who became the center of his world. He cherished every moment with them. Their bond with him was something truly special, filled with tenderness, joy, and unconditional love. They looked up to him with admiration and he looked at them with the kind of love that made them feel safe and seen.
Conrado also opened his heart to his sons-in-law: John, Kenny, and Mark welcoming them not just into the family, but into his heart. He had a way of making everyone feel like they were welcomed and belonged. Whether you met him once or knew him a lifetime, you never forgot the warmth of his smile or the calm comfort of his presence.
Additionally he is survived by his beloved younger sister Purita Andaya and her three children: Eric, Ochie, and Pamela.
He lived a beautiful life never boastful, never loud, but always full of meaning. He gave without asking for anything in return. He showed us all what it means to be truly good.
It’s hard to put into words the kind of love we have for Conrado, and even harder to imagine a world without him in it. But we take comfort in knowing that the love he gave so freely lives on in every laugh shared, every lesson remembered, and in every quiet moment of strength that we carry forward.
Thank you, Dad, for everything. For the sacrifices you made. For the love you poured into us. For being the heart and soul of our family.
We will miss you every single day. But your love is still here, deep in our hearts, where it will stay forever.
Rest peacefully, Carding. You are home.
A memorial mass for Conrado will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 56-15 213th Street, Bayside, New York 11364.
