Daniel J. Gartland

Born to the late Owen and Alice Gartland, Daniel grew up in a close-knit Irish family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Owen and sister, Alice, and is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Patrick and Kevin.

Daniel shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Pam Gartland, and was the proud and loving father of Danielle Soracco and her husband, Nicholas Soracco. He will also be fondly remembered by William, Alisa, Kara, Brian and many other nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom cherished his warmth, humor, and kindness.

A true sports enthusiast, Daniel was a passionate fan of the New York Giants and the Yankees, rarely missing a game and always cheering with unshakable loyalty. Beyond sports, he had a gift for cooking, a love for gardening, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. His kitchen was often filled with delicious meals, laughter, and the warmth of family gatherings.

Daniel lived his life with gratitude and joy, always finding ways to bring people together. His kindness, easy smile, and love of life will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Though his presence will be dearly missed, Daniel leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215-35 38th Ave, Bayside, NY 11361, on Friday, September 12, 2025,10:00 am.

The Graveside Service will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Fresh Meadows , NY 11365.
