

Wulf-Dieter Kort was born in Celle, Germany on July 16th 1948 and arrived at Ellis Island on the “Italia” in 1952 with his parents, Wulf-Martin and Irene. Dieter will be remembered for his intelligence, fluency in numerous languages, passion for writing and painting, and a lifelong love of learning. Most of all, he will be remembered for his consideration and kindness to others, despite the difficulties he endured during his lifetime.
Dieter is mourned by his brother Edward and sister-in-law Margie, nephews and niece Eric, Natalie, and Nick, and their spouses Heather, Brendan, and Ali, six grand-nieces and one grand-nephew, Dieter’s aunt Helga and cousins Andreas and Peter, step-brother Bill and Louanne, Lizzy, Jackie, and Will.
The family is grateful to all who helped Dieter on his journey, allowing him to deal with life’s challenges in the best way he could.
Dieter will be laid to Rest in Flushing Cemetery following a private family ceremony.
