Ecaterina Papadima, born on April 14, 1942, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 83. A resident of Oakland Gardens, New York, she was a beloved and cherished member of her family and community.
Ecaterina was the beloved wife of the late Stere. She was a loving mother to Liliana Beca and her husband Michael, and Dan Papadima and his wife Hajnal. She was a cherished grandmother to Catherina Pelan and her husband Steven, and Mark Papadima. Ecaterina was also a dear sister to Cherata Perceli.
Ecaterina loved her grandchildren, Catherina and Mark, deeply. She enjoyed shopping, going for long walks, and had a particular fondness for flowers. Her warmth and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11:00 am at All Faiths Cemetery, 67-29 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY 11379.
