Irene Dachtera was born in Brooklyn. She attended St. Jerome parish growing up. Irene became a real estate lawyer and worked for some large firms, as well as on cases with her son Stephen in Queens. She worked in the field for over 25 years and loved practicing law. She gave her time to assist the catholic daughters of her parish St. Ann's/ St. Mary's and was the vice regent for some time. She also worked for Bridge to Life in Bayside. She loved Polka Music. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and Padre Pio, while attending Mass every Sunday and sometimes daily Mass. She is survived by her son Stephen Dachtera. She had a great love for people.
