Irene Lambadaridis

Irene (Psarianos) Lambadaridis passed away peacefully in her home, on the 26th day of February, 2026. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Valsamis, her devoted children, Despina Lambadaridis, Afendoula (Panagis) Papadatos, Nicholas Lambadaridis (Stefan Vujovic), her three grandchildren, Irene Kavadias, Evangelos and Valsamis Papadatos and three four-legged grand fur babies, Phoebe, Roarie and Bruno. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Maria Psarianos and Stella Lambadaridis and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Born on the beautiful Island of Chios, in the Village of Kambia, Irene spent her days playing in the fields. At the age of 16, alongside her family she emigrated to the United States where she lived in the Greek enclave of Astoria. She later met and married the love of her life in her twenties and moved to Whitestone where they built a life and raised three beautiful children. Irene worked alongside her cousins at Draga Eye Care as a technician and was fulfilled in her career and as a mother. She took much pleasure in spending time with her family, close and extended, and especially enjoyed the time she spent with them, in her favorite place, Aruba. Some of her favorite pastimes included shopping, Bayville beach days and clipping coupons. She was extremely kind and caring and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but will forever live in our hearts.
