Janine Marie Ingargiola (Nee Iadanza) passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 7th, peacefully and without any pain, in the loving arms of her Husband and Son. It was her time to leave this realm and return home to join both her Father Nicholas and her brother Michael, whom had preceded her.
She is survived by her husband Peter, her beloved children Diana and Benny, her three amazing grandchildren Vanessa, Olivia and Ava, her wonderful mother MaryAnn, and her three beloved siblings Nicky, Eric and Tina.
Janine, 54, was born in Jamaica, Queens, NY on December 20th, 1962. She grew up in Bellerose, NY, and later moved to Bayside, NY. She then moved to Whitestone, NY when she re-married in October of 2004, and she resided happily there, sharing so many fun times and laughter with her new husband and her two beautiful children. She later proudly bought a co-op apartment in 2013, (which she jokingly and affectionately called "The Dump"), and had happily resided there right until the end with Peter, her husband of the past 13 1/2 years,
Janine worked for 15 years, on and off, at Chase Bank, in the abandoned property department, and made many good friends there, whose affection and friendship she still has today.
She worked for the past 10+ years at Citi as the VP of Vault Operations, where she also took classes to became a Notary Public, and where she also made dear friends with all the people in her group.
Janine loved to travel, and made many awesome trips with her husband, using her preferred method of travel - Cruising - to her favorite destination, Bermuda, as well as trips to St. Thomas and St. John's, The Dominican Republic, The Bahamas, The Whistling Swan Inn (easily her favorite romantic getaway with her husband) and many happy trips down to McKinney, Texas, where her Daughter Diana and her Son-in-law Anthony reside with their children, Janine's beloved Granddaughters. Her greatest joy in life was the Christmas holidays, when Diana, Anthony, Vanessa, Olivia and Ava would all come up to NY and stay with her and her husband. Buying the three girls their piles of Christmas gifts (often completed by Janine before labor day!) and waiting to see the looks on the girls' faces as they opened them all gave Janine indescribable joy and pleasure. She always put an amazing amount of love and beauty into everything she did or touched, and she truly made the most beautiful holidays for her children, Granddaughters, and her husband Peter, every Christmas.
Janine loved to tend to her garden and she had the knack of making a plain piece of ground turn into a little oasis. She loved spending hours at a time watching all her favorite TV shows, and she especially loved catching up with her sister Tina on the phone every weekend. She really enjoyed a good meal, and would often have lunch or dinner wile catching up with her good friends. She also loved very much to do lunch and go shopping with her Son Benny on the weekend.
Janine will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who ever had the pleasure of meeting her. Not only for her endless compassion for others, intense loyalty, impeccable class and taste, decency, honesty, amazing smile and stunning beauty, but most importantly, for her unending inner strength, and her undying desire to love and care for all of those who were fortunate enough to ever become important to her.
She was intelligent, funny, witty, smart, honest, responsible, trusting and trustworthy. She instilled great love, affection and beauty into everyone and everything she touched. There were few who ever existed, if any, who could ever be a more beloved, good and worthy person than Janine. Just a one of a kind, amazing, and loving soul, of so many beautiful layers...
In the often used and frequently laughed about words of Janine herself-"Good Going!"
She will never be - could never be forgotten. Until we meet again, Beautiful soul...
