Joan M. Almon

Joan was a dedicated dispatcher for the NYC EMT, where she served with commitment and pride. Her career was marked by her unwavering dedication to helping others in times of need.

She was the beloved sister of William Almon and the loving aunt and Godmother of Kerry Rivera. Joan was also a cherished great aunt and Godmother to Katie, who took exceptional care of her. She was the devoted daughter of the late William and Catherine Almon, and a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

In her personal life, Joan loved her house upstate and found joy in being surrounded by the beauty of nature. Her appreciation for the natural world was a significant part of her life, bringing her peace and happiness.

A visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on December 30, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Joan will be remembered with love and admiration by all who knew her.
