
Joan was born January 4, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Willard S. Moore and Muriel Carpenter Moore.
She attended John F. Kennedy High School in Brooklyn, NY. She worked at Flushing Hospital for 30 plus years. She lived on Phlox Place in Flushing, NY for over 40 years until she moved to Pennsylvania in 2011 to be cared for by her family, while living in the home of her daughter, Maureen McVicker.
Joan touched the lives of every individual who was lucky enough to meet her. Through her humor, sense of understanding, and love she was able to lift the spirits of so many. She gave us all hope and courage, and reminded us of the preciousness of life and the importance of family. Her gentle touch, warm heart, and beautiful smile brought joy to so many.
She is survived by her five daughters and their spouses, Christine and Laurence Schneider of Albrightsville, PA, Kathleen Vincent of Flushing, NY, Maureen and Robert McVicker of Bethlehem, PA, Joanie Molina Vincent of Bethlehem, PA, and Victoria and Clayton Creamer of Bethlehem, PA; Fifteen grandchildren, some of whom have spouses; Four great-grandchildren; And countless amounts of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband William C. Vincent.
Celebration of life will take place at Quinn-Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd. Flushing, NY 11358 on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A mass will be held at 9:45am at St. Kevin’s Church in Flushing, NY on Monday, December 14, 2015. Following mass, Joan will be laid to rest with her late husband at Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island, NY.
