June 18, 1970- February 8, 2025
A beloved son, brother, uncle and cousin, John touched countless lives with his warmth, humor, and unwavering positivity. His cheerful spirit and kind heart made him a joy to be around, and his presence brought smiles to everyone who knew him.
Born in United States, he spent his childhood years in Hong Kong and came back at the age of 12, embracing his new home with love and resilience. He spent time in a Life’s WORC group home in Bayside and Rosedale, where he formed lasting friendships and was cherished by so many. A dedicated worker, he proudly took mass transit to his job as an assembler, always finding joy in his daily routine.
A true sports fan, he loved the Mets and the Knicks and the WWE, cheering them on with passion. He was a huge fan of Michael Jackson, often enjoying his music and moves….John loved to dance! His love for food was undeniable - he could never resist an Oreo cookie, a Dunkin’ Old Fashion Donut and a cup of coffee. We will always remember his signature phrases, “Tastes good”, “I am alright” and “Not that kind” will forever echo in our hearts, reminders of his unique charm and spirit.
As a proud Special Olympics participant, he inspired those around him with his determination and enthusiasm. His love, laughter, and boundless energy will never be forgotten.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
