John Francis Rogers

John Francis Rogers “Jackie” passed away on August 27, 2013 formerly of Woodside Queens. Proud lifelong member of the Steamfitters Union Local 638. John was also an Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a faithful and loving son to Joseph Rogers, County Clare, Ireland and Elizabeth O’Connell, County Kerry, Ireland. Loving brother of the late Joseph Rogers, Anne Rogers McGuire and Mary Rogers McDonaugh. Fantastic uncle of William J. McGuire and Valerie A. McGuire, Martin J. McDonaugh (deceased), Robert J. McDonaugh, Richard J. McDonaugh, Kevin M. McDonaugh, Mary M. Courtney, Christopher Rogers McDonaugh and Mary Rogers Cantrell. Wonderful great uncle of Christopher, Michael, Kathryn, Janna, Christopher, Martin, Kelli, Brooke, Rick, Katie, Brian, Kevin, Danielle, Sean, Patrick, Liam, Pierce, Brian and Tracy. Amazing great great uncle to Fiona, Liam and Riley June. Jack was also surrounded by wonderful neighbors and friends while living in Whitestone. Visiting Hours Wednesday 7-9pm and Thursday 2-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Bayside. Interment St. Raymond’s Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the care of the Frederick Funeral.
