
Before returning to his native New York, John was an airman in the United States Air Force. John worked for the Mass Transit Authority (MTA) in New York City from which he retired after 32 years of dedicated service. John dedicated his life to Jehovah God on May 26, 1991, and became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He served as a ministerial servant in the Flushing, East and Clemson Road Congregations. He loved Jehovah with all his heart and his fellow man, too. He was also a gifted singer.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marguerite Waddell; one sister, Annette Waddell-Flores; three sons: Christopher, Adam and Allen Waddell; six grandchildren: Terrell, Adam Jr., Allen Jr, Jennaliyah, Edward-Allen and Troy-Allen; two nieces and three nephews: Michelle, Andre, Gilbert, Anthony and Angela, as well as more than eight million spiritual brothers and sisters, worldwide.
He was predeceased by his son, Morgan McHenry, and daughter, Sharon Waddell-Anderson. Viewing/Wake will be Friday June 2, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Quinn-Fogarty Funeral Home.
The funeral service is Saturday, June 3, 2017, 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 33-10 Parsons Blvd, Flushing, NY 11354 with burial in Rosemont Cemetery in New Jersey.
