Larry was a cousin on my father's side, but very much a part of our family while we were kids growing up and into adulthood.  A lovely man with beautiful handwriting and wonderful stories about family members I never knew.   Thank you for all of the love and wonderful memories.  May God Bless You, Larry!

Larry Pesce was my French teacher at Bishop Reilly High from 1962 to 1966. We remained friends all these years. I will never forget him. Que le bon Dieu vous benisse, Monsieur Pesce!

"In all my years..." you were a great friend and a mild-mannered gentleman, always making sure that I did not get myself into trouble at U.S.C.  I enjoyed our summer months competing with each other to see who would accumulate the most overtime hours.  

I called to wish you a Happy Birthday the other day, as I always do, only to figure out that you were called back home.  You will be greatly missed, my friend!  Until we meet again...May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You, Larry!

Larry and I went to the same elementary school and then spent our high school days going to dances and socializing up to our first year in college. I have memories of a wonderful human being who was intelligent kind and helpful. Plus always a cheerful person. Larry, You have always been in my thoughts. I know you are in a good place.

I just found out about Mr. Pesce and am still in shock.  He was my teacher for 2 years (1969-1971) at Bishop Reilly and became a good and dear personal friend of me and my family.  I had fallen out of touch with him in the past couple of years and had recently thought of giving him a call to see how he was.
     Rest in peace, monsieur Pesce.  I will miss you until we meet again.

Mr. Pesce was my teacher and advisor at Xavier during my years there 1978-1980. Now, as a grown man, I still his wise words echoing in my head, in both English and French. God Bless You Mr. Pesce, you were one of the good ones. :  ) <3

I  first met Larry when I was a student at Bishop Reilly.  He was a dedicated teacher and a fine man.

Larry was a refined and cultured gentleman with humility and empathy.

My family got to know Larry pretty well when we went on a trip to Europe in the 70's.  I recognized him on the tour because I went to Bishop Reilly.  He befriended us and took us to wonderful places the tour guides did not.  Afterward he and my mom became friends because they both loved the Opera.  He took my mom a few times.  Believe or not my mom just died on 3/29 and we found a note where she wrote about how much she enjoyed their friendship.  I hope they meet up in heaven.

Death ends a life but it does not end a relationship. I have many fond memories of our friendship. Rest in peace Larry. We were friends for many years. I will miss you.

Thank you Sir.  I have remembered you often over the years as a kind, patient and dedicated teacher.

Mr. Pesce was the moderator of the French Club and went with us each month to lectures at the French Alliance in NYC.  He was a great role model and a very patient man.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Pesce was an enthusiastic advocate for learning.  He helped keep the interest of those, like me, who took a language because we had to.  He worked hard to make the subject come alive.  He was also a friend when we had a need.

Mr. Pesce was my French teacher, as well as the glee club moderator, for the 4 years I attended Bishop Reilly High School.  Like all teachers who are good at what they do, he took pride in seeing his students succeed and took extra time to help students, who despite their best efforts, were falling somewhat behind (e.g., me).  He was one of my favorites.  Rest in Peace, Mr. Pesce.
