March 12, 1944 – July 26, 2025
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Mastrangelo, a lifelong resident of New York City, who left us on July 26, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Margaret later made her home in Ozone Park, Queens, where she raised her family with love, humor, and unwavering support. To know her was to love her. Our sweetest angel—our Irish little doll—brought warmth, optimism, and kindness wherever she went. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister, and friend. Her generosity, her easy laughter, and her open heart left an indelible mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Margaret nurtured not only her family but their passions. She proudly supported her sons, Nick and Guy, in their love of music—welcoming drum kits, guitars, and the joyful chaos of band practices into her home. Anyone who visited remembers the house rattling with sound, yet she never complained. She embraced the noise, the energy, the creativity—because she loved every second of it.
She had a gift for making people feel welcomed and loved. Her home was always open, filled with laughter, good food, and warmth. Margaret was generous and supportive beyond measure. She was more than a mother-in-law—she was a second mother, chosen and treasured. A proud baby sister and a loving aunt, she was cherished by her extended family. Her love extended to her fur babies too—her adored cats Emmy and Lulu, who brought her endless comfort and joy.
She was an extraordinary grandmother to her grandsons Michael, Thomas, and Andrew, and her legacy will continue to shine through them and through the countless lives she touched with her compassion and grace.
Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on July 31, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Kevin’s RC Church, 45-21 194th St, Flushing, NY 11358, on August 1, 2025, at 10:45 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735, at 12:45 p.m.
Margaret’s love, light, and laughter transformed the lives of everyone she met. We will miss her endlessly and love her always. May her journey onward be as beautiful as the life she lived here with us.
