Maria Ines Musa

Maria Ines Musa was born in Colombia within a strong Catholic household. Sadly, when Maria was still a young child, her mother passed away, suddenly. This profound loss caused Maria to rely on God, Jehovah, at an early age. At 34 years of age, Maria married for a brief time and gave birth to her daughter, Janera. Maria considered Janera to be her greatest gift, and she came second only to Jehovah, God. Maria dedicated the entirety of her life to both raising Janera well and drawing closer to Jehovah until her heart quietly ceased, at 93 years of age. Despite facing challenges and hardships in life, Maria exemplified unwavering faith, peace, and strength, and was known for her subtle sense of humor. She courageously came to this country, leaving everything behind, to protect her beloved child, while trusting fully in God, Jehovah, to make her path successful. In her humility, she spoke of the great things that God has done and will do for us, through Jesus. Her lifestyle was a living demonstration of the gospel as she practiced compassion, forgiveness and love for others and exuded immense gratitude for God’s wonders.Rest in peace my beloved mother, you showed me the way.

A funeral mass for Maria will be held Friday, November 8, 2024,10:30 AM at St Michael’s Church, 138-37 Barclay Ave, Flushing, NY 11355. Following the funeral mass will be a graveside service at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365.
