Marianne earned a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University and worked for over 26 years for North Shore Hospital, her career culminating as supervisor for point of care testing where she was integral in developing the critical care testing systems the hospital uses today.
Family and Friends were the most important part of life to Marianne. She raised two wonderful sons and her happiest moments came from being with her two grandchildren.
Marianne is survived by her husband, Michael Pogran and her sister Carol Masiello; sons, James and Robert; grandchildren Ethan and Charlotte; and many other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 pm at Quinn-Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, N.Y.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 9:45 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 56-15 213 St., Bayside, NY 11364.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests plasma be donated to your local blood bank in honor of Marianne.
