RIP cousin.  We somehow received the information of your passing just yesterday.  I'm so sorry that circumstances beyond our control separated all the cousins decades ago.  How very sad. I know one day we will all be reunited in heaven where will be able to be a real family the way it was intended to be.  God Bless you cugino. It was extremely shocking and heartbroken to learn the sad news of losing our dear neighbor and friend Michael in sudden. Our hearts are with you at this very difficult time. We've known each other for almost thirty years. Michael is a great man with the kindness of helping the neighbors always when they needed, especially in this bad winter time with all the snow. He is the one always there to help clear up the way with his powerful snow blower. We shoveled together so many years and the real thing he left to us here is his powerful character.  He used to like to come to us and chat, and we found many things interesting to us in common. We will miss his big figure in this neighborhood dearly. He is in a better place now. May he rest in peace.

Dad, it's hard to imagine my life without you.  I always felt your love and strength surround me.  I will miss  receiving your calls with questions about your cell phone, computer or online ordering.  I guess if I was given one wish it would be to see your handsome face one more time, hear you laugh, see you smile and get one of your hugs.  Thank you for helping me raise Alexa and Alana - you were so much more than a Grandfather to them.  They knew you were always there for them and your love was never ending. I never thought I’d be writing this about you so soon. The world lost the most amazing, handsome, selfless, strong, and funny as anything man on Friday February 12th. Papa, you were my whole heart and now it feels broken. I can’t imagine my life without you. Even though I won’t be able to hear your voice or feel your amazing hugs and kisses, I know you’ll always be watching over me and walking through this life with me. You raised Alexa and I to be the women we are today. From “hold onto your bloomers” during crazy car rides with you, to watching jerry springer, you always made us laugh and smile no matter what. You were the light in my life and what always brought a smile to my face. I’ll always have these amazing memories of you and with you for the rest of my life. I’ll always be your co pilot. You’re not suffering anymore and I want you to know that you put up the biggest fight you could and fought until the very end. I love you so much and all that you’ve done for me growing up. I wouldn’t be half the woman I was if it wasn’t for you. You are the most amazing papa I’ve ever known and I’ll hold that with me forever. When I was born you found the hospital all on your own. You were an amazing Grandpa. When you walked into a room you put a smile on everyone’s face. All your jokes and all of the memories I had with you I will cherish forever. I know that you are watching over me. You had a special connection with everyone of your grandchildren and that is what made you so special. You may be gone for now but one day I will see you again. You truly were the greatest man I had in my life. You were the best part of my childhood and you always did right by me. The first thing you would ask me everytime we spoke was "How do you feel Joseph?" You truly were the most outgoing, brave, compassionate and dedicated man I ever knew.  Thank you for that trip upstate 8 years ago, for getting me a go kart to ride and for always taking me to the movies and babysitting me. Most of all thank you for teaching me so much about life. I am grateful that you were there by my side through everything. I will cherish the moments we shared and the memories we have. I know you are home now and watching over me. I will miss you greatly. Thank you for always taking care of me, Ava, Mom & Dad. I will love you forever and you will always be with me. Until we see each other again you will always be in my heart. 💙🙏

Mike DePalma was a very dear friend to the entire Sodano family and will be dearly missed. He was always helping my dad Vincent up until our fathers passing last year. We were like a big family upstate at our house hunting, working & eating! They will now be together again. Our sincere condolences, I cant begin to tell you how much I will miss him.

I always knew this would happen one day but I was not ready for you to leave me right now. My heart is broken. You were an amazing father, father-in-law & grandfather. You always put your family 1st before yourself. Always making us laugh with your jokes Any time we needed you, you were there instantly.  You never said no or that you could not do something. You were a great cop/detective. You had no fear.  You were a fighter. You would walk into a situation rather than run away from it. I would do anything to have another day with you but I am thankful for all the memories. I know you fought as hard as you could to beat this, but I also know your body was tired & you held on as long as you could until your children got to the hospital to say goodbye to you. That's how much you loved us. You passed after we left. Thank you for the life you gave me & for everything you did for me, Joe & our kids. I will love you forever. Michael DePalma was a very special man in my life.  He was always there to lend a hand, he mentored me and taught me how to take care of household requirements and keep the home secure.  He was always there to crack a joke to make you smile as well as have your back when it was needed.  But most of all he trusted me to take care of his oldest daughter Gina and his two grandchildren, Alexa & Alana.  

Michael DePalma, Mr. D to me, was my father-in-law and I greatly respected and cared for him like my own father.  I will not let him down in the obligation he entrusted me with when he gave me his blessing to marry Gina. I will miss him tremendously.  

I am happy now that he will be able to meet with my mother and father in heaven.  Until we also meet in heaven I say goodbye for now. I know you will be looking down on all of us.  Thank you for that.
