Born in Italy, Nancy immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with her mother and siblings to reunite with her father who had left before them, in pursuit of the American dream.
Although both born in the same town of Corato, Italy, she met her husband Pasquale, on a blind date in NY.
Through hard work, resilience, and unwavering dedication to their family, they built a life filled with love, integrity, and tradition.
Nancy was small in stature but had a heart and presence that filled every room. With her trademark smile and warm “How are you?” greeting, she welcomed everyone with kindness and genuine care. She had a wonderful sense of humor, high standards, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Nancy was a gifted cook, a proud steward of her Italian culture and found joy in cooking the meals of her childhood for her family. She lived with acceptance, grace, and warmth, embracing all people with open arms and an open heart.
Family was the center of Nancy’s world. She was the proud and loving mother of Maria Patruno, Rosalba (Luis) Ordieres, and Angela Patruno. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Luis, Joseph, and Giuliana, who brought light and happiness into her later years.
She is also survived by her devoted siblings, Sam (Nan) Mazzilli and Rosaria (Kevin) Kelly, and was a beloved aunt to Jennifer Hillman and Lauren Mazzilli. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews in Italy.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
