

In Loving Memory of Sandra "Sandi" Furci
Sandra "Sandi" Furci, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, friend, active member of her community, passed away on April 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, service and kindness. She was born to the late Joseph and Elaine Furci in Port Chester NY, and she is survived by her loving sister Debra Marcone (Danny) and brother Edward Furci. Cherished aunt of Samantha Furci Rivera (Michael), Stacey Federici (Michael) Paul Marcone (Kristy), Alyssa Romero(Chris) and devoted Great Aunt of Mateo, Christian, Isabella, Gianna, and Lucas.
Sandi was a trailblazer in her family, being the first to pursue higher education. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree, marking the beginning of a long and successful career in sales and real estate. However, her thirst for knowledge and compassion led her to further her education, earning a master’s degree in social work from Malloy College. She went on to become an active alumnus of Malloy College serving on several committees.
Sandi had a profound love for the summer and the beach, finding solace and joy in the beauty of long walks collecting seashells. But above all, her greatest love was reserved for her family. She was a devoted aunt and great aunt, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. She cared for all of her nieces and nephews, never missing a school play, sporting event, graduation, or ceremony all while maintaining her career.
Her commitment to her faith and community was evident through her involvement in the "Mercy Associate" at Sacred Heart Church. Sandi was extremely active in various church activities, including Meals on Wheels and the Thanksgiving food drive where she selflessly served those in need. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Bereavement Group bringing her education and faith together in service of others. She often attended faith retreats which helped to deepen her connection and build her compassion to others.
Sandi was bright light with an enthusiasm for life and a passion for exploration. She adored traveling, embracing experiences, and learning about the world around her. She tried never to miss a celebration and an opportunity to be surrounded by friends and family.
The family and friends of Sandra "Sandi" Furci will be gathering to honor and celebrate her life. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fredrick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, New York 11358. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, situated at 215-35 38th Avenue, Bayside, New York 11361. Following the service, interment will take place at Greenwood Union Cemetery, located at 215 North Street, Rye, New York 10580.
Sandi will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched with her love and kindness. May she rest in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations made to Sacred Heart RC Church Ministries.
