Thomas De Carlo

Thomas De Carlo, of Flushing, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories. Born in Mola di Bari, Italy, Thomas came to the United States with a spirit full of hope and a heart full of dreams.

He was the beloved husband of the late Pasqua De Carlo, and a devoted father to Giovanna Maria (Michael) Gulas, Maria (Kevin) Olsen, and Angela De Carlo-Quinlan (Scott Quinlan). Thomas was a proud and loving grandfather to Robert, Victoria (Alex), Samantha, Nicholas, and Thomas, who will always remember his warmth and generosity.

Thomas was a man of many passions. He found joy in making homemade wine, tending to his vegetable garden, and savoring a good pizza. His love for poker was matched only by his dedication to his favorite sports teams, the Yankees and the Rangers. His enthusiasm for life and his zest for these simple pleasures were truly contagious.

He is survived by his dear siblings: Vito, Teresa, Maria, Angelina, Pasquetina, and Giovannina, who will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Thomas's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched. His family and friends will remember him not just for his many interests and hobbies, but for his unwavering love, kindness, and the laughter he brought into their lives.

The family of Thomas De Carlo will be receiving family and friends on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, New York 11358. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 9:45am at St. Mel's RC Church, 26-15 154th Street, Flushing, New York 11358. Entombment to follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, New York 11365.
